Consultations

Consultations with our veterinary surgeons include a full physical examination and discussion about the health of your pet. Whether you would just like peace of mind or your pet is unwell, at Tatton Veterinary Practice, our vets will look after you. All of our consultations are 30 minutes as standard, so that you and your pet can get the level of care they deserve at the time they need it the most. We believe that by offering longer appointments, we can provide a higher quality and holistic approach to your pet’s care. Our ethos runs all through the practice and we truly believe you and your pet come first.

Neutering

At Tatton Veterinary Practice we understand that neutering is a big day for you and your beloved pet. That is why, we make sure your pet is looked after just as if they were our own.

This means intravenous fluids and a pre-operative blood profile, where indicated, are included at no extra cost. We also provide post-operative pain relief and where possible we try to do away with those uncomfortable plastic collars, opting instead for for body suits, inflatable collars or wound covers.

Deciding to get your dog, cat or rabbit neutered is not an easy decision. Why not book in with one of our nurses for a pre-neuter consultation so we can plan what is best for you and your pet. Neutering or not, your pet will have the care they deserve with us at Tatton Veterinary Practice.

Soft Tissue Surgery

If your pet needs surgery for wound repairs, small (or large!) lump removals, even eyelid surgery or more complex abdominal/thoracic surgery – we have you covered.

Both Dr. Christian and Dr. Riaz have a wealth of experience in routine and more complex soft tissue surgery so many of the surgeries can be done with us in our clinic.

However, at times the surgeries your pet needs are extremely complex, for these, we work closely with a European Specialist in Soft Tissue Surgery who will come to the practice to undertake the surgery.

Orthopaedic Surgery

We undertake a variety of orthopaedic treatments and surgeries here at Tatton Vets ranging from fracture repairs, luxating patella operations to cruciate repairs. Christian is well known in Cheshire for his orthopaedic work and if you need any advice about possible surgeries or orthopaedic conditions, why not book in for a consultation with him.

We also work closely with orthopaedic surgeons in the surrounding areas to ensure that your pet gets the best care possible.

Dentistry

Dental disease is extremely progressive and painful for pets. We can undertake routine descaling and polishing, to more complex dental work if needed. Book in with one of our nurses for a dental check and we can guide you on what might be needed.

Dermatology

Skin disease can be extremely frustrating and uncomfortable for pets. With our in-house microscope and testing, we can help you get to the bottom of your pet’s skin disease and make sure they are well looked after.

For those more complex skin cases we have a dermatologist who can come to the practice to get the best treatment for your beloved pet.

Dematology

Cardiology

Approximately one in ten cats and dogs will get a form of heart disease in their lifetime, at Tatton Veterinary Practice, we strongly advise you to have your pet seen every 6-12 months so we can check their heart to make sure we catch any problems as early as possible.

We can also arrange a specialist to come to the practice to carry out an echocardiogram (heart scan) when required.

Oncology

Like people, many of our pets will unfortunately be affected by cancer in their life times. We pride ourselves on our ethos for early intervention/detection of cancer to allow for better prognosis and treatment options for your pet.

We offer in-consult needle biopsies for skin masses so we rapidly send samples to the lab to get peace of mind for you or quick treatment for your pet when required.

We also work closely with a specialist oncologist who can create treatment and/or chemotherapy plans for when the worst case happens. From start to finish, we will be with you and your pet to give them the care they need.

Home Visits

We understand that bringing a beloved pet to the vet can be a stressful experience for both you and your pet. We are proud to offer home visits where possible for a variety of consultations. We also offer home visit euthanasia options for when the difficult time comes.

If you have any questions regarding our home visit services then do not hesitate to give us a call and we will help you where we can.
